We are currently searching for a dynamic individual to become the Medicaid Enrollment Specialist for our unit. This position is responsible for enrolling, applying, and checking Medicaid for CTP patients. Additionally, assist the Medicaid Quality Assurance Specialist (MQAS) with necessary auditing tasks. All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.Internal candidates, please fill out the internal application.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Verify eligibility of CTP patients for Medicaid. Address and resolve patient's inquiries regarding Medicaid enrollment. Work with the intensive case management (ICM) team on Medicaid processes that may require more intensive case management (obtaining identification). Assist clients with completing benefits applications in the appropriate system with as much complete and accurate information as is possible and necessary to apply for benefits. Obtain information releases, explain health insurance benefits and other benefits processes, and follow-up needs. As needed, assist with other benefit applications, including, but not limited to, Medicaid, SNAP, LEAP, long-term care Medicaid, and Medicare Savings Programs. Assess under and uninsured patients for health care coverage, community, and assistance benefits. Collaborate with the Accounting Department to review all financial issues concerning insurance. Log pending applications and necessary follow-up tasks. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Management, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred. ExperienceMinimum 1 (one) year of experience in a similar field and/or Behavioral Health. Proficient in health benefit programs, including but not limited to: Social Security, Disability, Long Term Care Medicaid, and Connect for Health Colorado. Knowledge of various health programs including Medicaid, Medicare, federal, state, local, and grant-funded programs with expertise in their regulations, processes, financial eligibility qualifications, and/or one of the above areas. Excel and Word proficiency at the intermediate level is preferred. OtherValid driver's license and insurability. Physical DemandsMust be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
