Crossroads Treatment Centers is Hiring a Director, Information Management Near Greenville, SC

Position Summary: The Director, Information Management will enhance the current data environment by strategizing and managing work on foundational pieces of data infrastructure, pipelines, and data services. This role requires roadmap design for reliable data pipelines that transform data at scale while partnering with Engineering team members and Enterprise Analytics' stakeholders to understand and refine data pipeline requirements. The Director, Information Management will design and implement continuous improvements to data governance practices and implement data quality improvements. This person will be part of a high-caliber data team to help scale the company's current state into tomorrow's needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned.

  • Own and manage all phases of SDLC (planning, design, implementation, deployment, and support)
  • Direct the implementation of technical enhancements to CI/CD processes and/or the tool building to ensure data consistency and quality
  • Gain an understanding of the broader data landscape and solution design
  • Install and configure data infrastructure and analytic tools/platforms
  • Oversee the migration of large data from multiple legacy systems and translation to current ready-to-use data
  • Synthesize data and implement data quality monitoring practices for enhanced reporting
  • Oversee the coding of appropriate data scripts and building of ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Establish data governance processes and optimize existing processes
  • Support key stakeholders and company departments by teaming on special projects
  • Communicate technical ideas and work collaboratively to set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges
  • Enhance products and applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions where relevant

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Proven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager, or similar role with clear examples. The successful candidate will have in-depth understanding of database structure and principles, model buildout, ETL/ELT processing, query design, visualization tools, and more. This candidate provides strategic technical and people leadership for building critical data pathways and/or applications.

Education and/or Experience: Master's in Computer Science, Applied Data Science Analytics, Business Administration, or equivalent with 7-10 years of experience.

  • Engineering management experience with applications in high-growth engineering organizations, directly managing and growing engineers
  • In-depth experience with some combination of front-end frameworks, cloud infrastructure, data pipeline development, or complex web platform development
  • Working knowledge of a modern programming language (Python preferred), data pipeline engineering, relational database design, web platform development, API design, or distributed systems
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, and MPP databases leading data modeling, schema design, and data storage best practices
  • Experience enhancing CI/CD build tooling in a containerized environment, from deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration management
  • Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of and design for non-functional concerns such as performance, cost optimization, and maintainability
  • Ability to work as part of an agile, collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong experience with continuous delivery product development lifecycle, capacity planning, and effective resource utilization
