Description

Purpose of Position: We are looking for a compassionate clinician to join our team in our Domestic Violence Program! This position plays a crucial role in providing support and counseling to individuals, children, and families who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. The clinician supports clients sheltered in the Crossroads Domestic Violence Program as well as clients housed offsite in transitional housing units. The clinician works in tandem with the case manager, shelter supervisor, and program director to support clients’ mental health and secure housing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advocates for the mission of the organization and upholds the agency’s values
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and safety needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client
• Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy to individuals, children, and families affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to address clients' experiences of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness
• Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to coordinate services and resources for clients
• Conduct group therapy and support groups for survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
• Document clinical progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Responds to crisis situations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring the safety of clients and staff. Provides crisis debriefing after incidents, as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Master's licensure required
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others
• Sensitive to people experiencing compromised wellness
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices
• Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Sensitivity to diversity and cultural competence in working with clients from various backgrounds
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Clinical knowledge and practice-understanding of mental health issues, trauma-informed care, mental health and addiction assessments, client-centered treatment
• Can work well with other professional groups and community agencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs to generate required reports
• Comfortable and effective making group presentations
• Can work effectively independently as well as a member of a team
