GENERAL DESCRIPTION

CCS Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, & Intervention assists in fulfilling the mission of the school by advancing the overall academic/instructional and intervention program as it impacts K-12th grade learners’ overall academic performance. This position assists in coordinating instruction and intervention for those learners whose needs have been identified in CCS's ISP (Individualized Student Plan). This position also assists in the school-wide implementation of the RTI (Response to Intervention) program. This research-based, classroom intervention will address the needs of learners needing academic intervention or extension the general population of the K-12th Grades.

This is a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Executive Director shall define specific qualifications that shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

? Provide Christian and academic excellence in the leadership of the school.

? Implement the Mission and Vision Statements of Crossroads Christian Church & School.

? Belief in the basic philosophy of emphasizing the core curriculum.

? Commitment to working with parents as educational partners.

? Strong written and verbal communication skills.

? Knowledge of the developmental needs of learners in Collaborative 21st Century Learning environments.

? Actively attend and participate in Briefings and Debriefings.

? Willingness to continue education through additional Courses and Training, Workshops, & Seminars.

? Active participation in the School’s Department meetings.

? Focus on working closely with all school staff by providing any information regarding a learner’s behavior change, attitude and/or classroom performance.

? Take leadership roles in some aspect of Crossroad Christian School’s development.

? Familiarity with Collaborative Learning and 21st Century schools and the target population, technological facility, and management experience.

General Duties: 

Curriculum:

? Oversee curriculum review cycles and procedures.

? Collaborate with the school level directors to approve all textbook and curriculum changes; order all textbooks and curriculum; and supervise distribution of textbooks and curriculum.

? Collaborate and partner with the Executive Administrative Team related to goals of excellence in academics and Collaborative 21st Century Learning methodology.

? Coordinate consultations utilizing data for the modification of instruction and curriculum. 

? Assist in overseeing the implementation of the Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLR’s).

? Assist in the management of the school’s Accreditation Cycle, sustainable systems, and yearly implementation of goals for school-wide improvement.

? Coordinate the organization, instruction, and distribution of educational media and materials for intervention in classrooms. 

Instruction:

? Collaborate with the Executive Team on new facilitator orientation and ongoing facilitator training.

? Support facilitative staff to maximize effectiveness and increase learners’ academics.

? Assist school level directors in the development of an Annual Professional Development Plan for all staff, including the incorporation of individual professional goals.

? Provide Professional Development for individuals, grade level teams, or school levels. This may include but is not limited to the following: RIT, at-risk learners, advanced learners, classroom management, curriculum, benchmarks and other assessments.

? Support and emphasize K-12 excellence in academic achievement, intervention, and meeting proficiency standards. 

? When appropriate, develop and conduct parent workshops for but not limited to the following: home enrichment, management techniques, intervention practices. 

? Provide facilitator support in targeted technology instruction.

? Implement the current Technology plan.

Assessment:

? Develop and maintain benchmark testing for all grade levels.

? Coordinate and supervise school-wide standardized assessments; coordinate testing schedules; evaluate test results; formulate Action Plans based on results.

? Monitor grading policies and practices of all facilitators K-12th grades.

? Coordinate the collection of relevant information for those learners with ISPs or intervention.

? Coordinate with facilitators ways to communicate with parents about their learner's assessment data and how to utilize this.

Intervention:

? Implement and assist in the Response to Intervention (RTI) program in collaboration and partnership with the RTI and Instructional Coach

? Regularly collaborate and communicate with classroom facilitators and other shareholders to monitor at-risk learners’ progress.

? Collaborate and assist facilitators in data collection, monitoring, review, and revision of their classroom intervention.

? Coordinate and collaborate with shareholders in the development of an ISP (Individual Student Plan).

Accreditation: 

? Compile data for Accreditation report in alignment with mid cycle and reaccreditation timelines. 

? Advocate for curriculum development in alignment with Accreditation goals and requirements. 

? Facilitate Accreditation teams and focus groups in alignment with Accreditation needs as required. 

? Identify potential problem areas with Accreditation and work with the Executive Administrative Team to strengthen said areas. 

? Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement assessment, accreditation, and academic program review across CCS, continually monitoring progress toward identified goals and objectives. 

? Collect, compile, and analyze data related to faculty qualifications, curriculum standards, enrollment, and other academic activities for the purpose of Accreditation, program review, self-studies, School-level decision making, and other related activities. 

? Develop, implement, and evaluate methods for collecting and analyzing data in collaboration with IT. 

? Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION

? Bachelor’s Degree

? California Teaching Credential and/or Master’s Degree in related field

? Demonstrated knowledge in Instructional Technology

? Preferred Master’s Degree in related field

? Preferred, 2 years of experience in Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, & Intervention

POSITION STRUCTURE AND LEVEL

Reporting: This position reports to the CCS Executive Director

Organization: CCS Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, & Intervention

WORKING CONDITIONS

? Able to open and close School Campus Facilities

? Able to keep the campus safe and protected from the public during school hours.

? Able to meet with staff, learners, and parents when dealing with behavioral issues.

? Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

? Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily.

? Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.

? Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

MENTAL WORK DEMANDS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

? Regular and on-time attendance.

? Hours not to exceed 40 hours per week.

? Participation in at least two extracurricular activities throughout the year: Christmas Program, Family Fellowship Nights, Spring Program, etc. 

? Attend in-services and professional development meetings as deemed necessary by Administration.

? Maintain a high level of privacy when working with confidential learner information. 

? A love for learners and a desire to assist them in their personal, educational, and spiritual development.
