SUD Counselor (please only apply if you are a certified counselor)

6 bed detox/residential treatment facility seeking SUD certified counselor for full-time position. This person is responsible for providing comprehensive case management and recovery focused services to clients in a residential setting. Participates in treatment planning/reviews and implementation, and maintains timely, complete, and legible clinical documentation. Responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process through running groups and individual assessments. We are seeking a qualified candidate who displays professionalism, practices ethical principles, is detail-oriented, reliable and empathetic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to develop integrated summaries relative to the clinical and psychiatric antecedents of the dependency process.
• Conducts pre-admission assessments, ASAM assessments, documentation and participates in intake and discharge process.
• Collaborates with client in creating after care plan prior to discharge. 
• Develops and implements an individualized treatment plan for each client using measurable goals and objectives.
• Facilitates assigned groups/meetings/activities and documents observations/milieu interventions in resident records/shift log during every shift/group, UA/BA, and transports and accompanies residents off-site as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Certified with CCAPP/CADTP/CADDE or
• A clinical social worker or an intern registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences or with the Board of Psychology
• KIPU experience is a plus
• Experience facilitating both process and educational groups 

Requirements

• First Aid, CPR, valid driver's license and strong documentation skill
