Crosspoint Federal CU is Hiring a Loan Processor Near Hamden, CT

Duties:

-Role is on-site in a branch location daily

-A minimum of one Saturday a month, on site, is expected
- Assist loan department team in processing documents, providing quality control, and generating reports

-Process loan applications and gather necessary documentation for underwriting and process payoff requests
- Verify borrower information, including employment, income, and credit history

- Review loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare loan packages for submission to underwriting
- Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and other parties involved in the loan process
- Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and insurance agents to ensure timely closing of loans
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies

Qualifications:

-3 Years experience in a consumer lending role

-Experience with banking; branch-based banking experience preferred

-Experience with consumer loans (auto, HE/HELOC, personal, residential)
- Familiarity with escrow processes and loan processing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills

-Experience with and understanding of quality control processes and ability to adhere to lending guidelines and regulations
