Cross Timbers ENT is Hiring an Allergy Injector Near Arlington, TX

Cross Timbers ENT is seeking a skilled Allergy Injector to join our Allergy department team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering allergy injections, providing education, counseling patients, and assisting with the development and implementation of treatment plans. The ideal candidate will need to have great communication skills, strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for helping patients manage their allergies.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting physician with patient care by controlling allergy shot patient flow, obtaining and documenting necessary history and vital signs, performing assigned procedures, and providing patient education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Administers allergy injections to patients according to prescribed protocols.

· Educates patients on proper injection techniques and self-care measures.

· Collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans.

· Provide support and guidance to patients regarding their allergies and treatment options.

· Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.

· Observes, records and reports patients’ vitals and reactions to treatments.

· Assesses patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems.

· Maintains accurate patient records.

· Assures patient stays for required observation time after injection(s).

· Reacts appropriately in patient reaction situations; informs physician and/or other clinical staff as necessary to mitigate adverse reactions.

· Demonstrates clinical competence and sound knowledge base in provision of quality patient care.

· Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve problems

· Interested in learning and performing immunotherapy vial mixing procedures.

· Responsible for following OSHA regulations.

· Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Certified Medical Assistants with applicable allergy practice experience

· Clinical experience in Allergy required

· BLS certification required

· Strong Electronic health records experience required

· Must perform highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations; and exercise independent judgment

· Organizational and communication skills are required.

· Monday to Friday, In Office - 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
