As an occupational medicine nurse practitioner, you’ll help keep patients safe and healthy in their work environment or other “occupations” of living. Working in a hospital, outpatient center, private practice, home health or workplace setting, you’ll examine, diagnose and treat patients, order tests and prescribe medications. You’ll play an important role in preventing disease and injuries and educating patients and employers.
