As a nurse practitioner, you’ll provide general or specialized care for patients. Working in a hospital, outpatient center, urgent care center, private practice or other healthcare facility, you’ll examine, diagnose and treat patients, order tests and prescribe medications. You’ll play an important role in preventing disease and educating patients and families.
