Local Delivery Driver / Fabrication Shop Helper

We are currently seeking a Local Delivery Driver / Fabrication Shop Helper with a strong background in the architectural sheet metal and glazing industries to lead our front-end operations, drive business development, and manage our talented team.

Job Description:

The Delivery Driver 1 role at Crone Metals, LLC. is operational and customer-service oriented, responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of our products to local customers. The role also enhances customer satisfaction, maintains the company’s reputation for fast lead times and on-time shipping performance, and assists on the shop floor where needed when not out on deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transporting goods from the warehouse to designated local customers.
• Inspecting the delivery vehicle daily to maintain safety standards.
• Loading and unloading goods in an organized and timely manner.
• Reporting any issues or incidents to the supervisor.
• Providing excellent customer service upon delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior experience in delivery driving or related roles is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent driving record.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Understanding of local road systems, basic vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Effective communication and basic arithmetic skills.
• Safe driving skills and basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance.

Hourly: $22.00

Equipment:

Company-provided delivery vehicle, GPS system, handheld delivery verification devices, and safety gear.

Training/Certification/Education:

On-the-job training will be provided.
