Crittenton Consulting Group Inc is Hiring a Junior Records Examiner Near Winchester, VA

Overview of Project:

The Information Services Section (ISS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Information Management Division (IMD) has a mission critical requirement to convert paper records, documents, files, specific digital files, and evidentiary materials to an electronic format to enable internal and external customers to efficiently and effectively search the material for pertinent information.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, Inventory & Indexing (Data Entry) – All personnel may be required to unload trucks and shelve boxes from pallets. This includes an inventory of the deposited material an entry of request numbers, file numbers, and section numbers into a tabular listing in the date received order. Personnel may be required to enter inventory data into the FBI’s Document Capture Management System. The material is then staged to await the next function which is Document Preparation.
  • Document Preparation – Records, documents, and/or files are prepared (made ready to be easily scanned by the scanner). Staples and fasteners are removed, torn pages repaired, pages are aligned properly, slip-sheets inserted; some material is placed in plastic sleeves and some material is copied for scanning. Materials are also reviewed for security classification.
  • Upload/Ship – DocLab personnel upload electronic files to directories, SharePoint sites and prepare material for delivery to the customer. This could include the preparation of media. Personnel may be required to load pallets in preparation for shipment.
  • Audit reviews – Audit reviews will be conducted in accordance with government scheduling and standard processing procedures. All personnel in DocLab are subject to audit reviews.

Job Requirements:

Individuals selected must be able to lift/carry items up to approximately 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, sit for long periods, and conduct a visual review of documents being prepped/scanned.

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret

Minimum Education Level Requirement: High School

Pay: $43,000.00 per year
