Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for Full-time Nurse Manager. Competitive salary and benefits package available.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager assist with the management of the medical-surgical nursing unit, emergency department, and operating room. Reports to the Chief Nursing Office; directly supervises all Patient Care Unit RN’s, LPN’s, and Nurses Aides; interacts with patients, physicians, nursing staff, and all other hospital personnel.

3.Coordinates service when necessary and with accuracy.
II.TEAM SERVICE SKILLS:
1.Shows all team members respect and courtesy.
2.Is aware of others’ needs and is willing to help.
3.Willing to share information and follows through.
III.STEWARDSHIP SKILLS:
1.Is present, punctual and available.
2.Utilizes financial, human and material resources efficiently.
3.Adheres to the hospital’s Code of Conduct and cooperates with the Compliance Program.
4.Understands the HIPAA Privacy Act and maintains confidentiality.
IV.TYPICAL DUTIES:
1.Develop, recommend and implement the nursing goals and objectives.
2.Assists with interviewing, selecting, orientation, evaluating, and terminating employees.
3.Write, recommend, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
4.Conduct self as a positive role model and effective change agent. Maintain communication and promote cooperation. Develop an environment conducive to a high level of nursing care and increased productivity.
5.Complete the nursing schedule
6.Coordinate the monthly nursing staff meetings to ensure changes are communicated and educational opportunities are appropriate and available to the nursing staff.
7.Participate in day-to-day staffing issues and on call schedule to assure an acceptable work schedule for the nursing staff.
8.Evaluate the Nursing Unit’s relationship with the rest of the hospital and support and implement only those changes that would have a positive effect for the hospital as a whole.
9.Readily available to perform as CNO and duties when necessary.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of a state approved RN program. Two (2) years nursing experience required; supervisory experience preferred. Must be currently licensed and in good standing with the State of Kentucky as an RN. Should have good physical and mental health, retain emotional stability in situations of varying circumstances and exhibit flexibility for various duties. Must be able to withstand eight (8) to twelve (12) hours of physical activity, walking, bending, lifting, etc. Must have a current healthcare provider ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification.
