In this role, As an Aerial Groundman, you will play a crucial role in supporting our aerial operations and ensuring the smooth execution of various projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.

This individual will; secure and organize equipment and tools in accordance with established procedures as well as load and unload equipment and supplies from vehicles and aircraft. Specifically, Will assist/support (Ground Support) the Area Lead who operates the lift bucket/cherry picker or any one climbing poles. This individual will NOT operate the bucket, not expected to know this. Anyone who has experience with phone lines, powerlines/electricity, cable companies (Comcast, At&T, CenturyLink, Time Warner, Optimum, etc.

As for expected weekly work hours, we occasionally encounter delays due to 811 markings or awaiting new job clearance…. But, we work Monday-Saturday at the moment to counteract these issues; essentially 45 to 50 hours a week is common place. If we work a Saturday, we may bounce up to 60 hours.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Aerial Groundman to join our team at Critical Edge. As an Aerial Groundman, you will play a crucial role in supporting our aerial operations and ensuring the smooth execution of various projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist aerial crew members in the safe and efficient operation of aerial equipment and tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Secure and organize equipment and tools in accordance with established procedures.
• Load and unload equipment and supplies from vehicles and aircraft.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment storage areas and service vehicles.
• Follow established safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Physical strength and ability to lift heavy objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
