Critical Business Analysis has an immediate need for a contract RenewableEnergy Construction Estimator in theDetroit, MI area with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Estimating. Previous experience in estimating owner sideresource needs, indirect costs, and large project formats is arequirement.This is a contract position for a minimum of oneyear and work will be conducted on a hybrid model with regular visits to theDetroit office. Estimator will workdirectly with Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, and Controllers.
Pay is commensurate with experience
Requirements
- Home location that is drivingdistance to the Southeast, MI. project locations is required.
- Minimum 5 - 10 years’ estimatingexperience.
- Bachelor’s degree inConstruction Management, Engineering, or commensurate experience.
- Support multipleinfrastructure renewable energy projects developing estimates, updatingcost forecast, and tracking estimate at completion.
- Negotiate commercialterms for construction contracts.
- Leads, develops andprovides analysis of project estimates/schedules.
- Ensures thecredibility of the information contained in the estimate.
- Perform estimates onchange orders/new projects and execute contracts.
- Lead value engineeringsessions & manage the meeting process with optimal results.
- Provides directsupport and expertise to project personnel and estimators/schedulers regardingestimating and/or planning.
- Provides expertise todevelop methodologies, techniques and tools, software, standards and guidelinesfor estimating and/or planning/scheduling; expert knowledge in application ofestimating/scheduling software and application of the software.
- Supports the projectteams and estimating/scheduling personnel efforts towards the development ofthe project plan and translating that project plan into the projectestimate/schedule.
- Assists with thepreparation of project time and/or cost claims.
- Ensures that requiredproject estimating and/or planning/scheduling controls are appropriatelyimplemented and maintained.
