We are seeking a mission-focused Linux Engineer to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Herdon, Virginia!

***ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED***

We are looking for experienced Systems Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.

Responsibilities

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

• Identification of technical trends in information technology, awareness on-going IT projects, and business unit requirements
• Applying project management model (e.g. Agile, Spiral, Waterfall) for a given development effort Model Based System Engineering principles
• Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) support
• Use of Digital Twin to enable virtual designs Ensuring developed systems comply with the enterprise technical architecture
• Assisting in keeping senior management apprised of project or program status Assisting project and program teams in preparing for program management reviews

Qualifications

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

• An active TS/SCI with an adjudicated Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a technical discipline
• Eleven (11) years of experience with the following skillsets:
• A combination of the following: Linux
• Infrastructure as a code languages, Ansible is a must have
• Experience working with System Automation
• Experience working with Linux
• Eclipse developmental duties Git Hub, Dev Ops, Java and Python
• Candidate should have experience in security review of applications and infrastructure
• 4 Years experience participating in agile activities
• Researches new technologies in object oriented programming
• Experience in Cloud based services
• Works well in a engineering team environment with other teammates who varied skills levels
• Ability to mentor others

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.
• Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc
• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, C#, Python, Java. etc.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML)
• Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects

Security Clearance Level

• TS/SCI with an adjudicated polygraph
