Job Description

The Inventory and Materials Analyst is a newly created position for a fast-paced and growing snack food manufacturer. The successful individual must be a self-starter who will maintain hands-on activities like successfully completes organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while ensuring that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle.

Key responsibilities:

· Supports activities to meet or exceed business goals around Safety, Training, Quality, Production, and Cost

· Storekeeper for all ingredients and raw materials used in Production

· Records, tracks, and processes all materials going in / out of production accurately

· Conducts weekly and monthly inventory counts

· Documents discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts

· Follows FEFO best practices with all ingredients and raw materials

· Maintains cleanliness and an organized work areas where products are stored according to specifications

· Ensures ingredients and raw materials are staged in designated areas according to production needs

· Tracks all raw materials

· Complies with all GMP best practices

· Ensures that the highest safety and sanitation standards are maintained

· Prepares, collects and scans any receiving documents

· Maintains accurate daily production records

· Oversees the job assignments and activities of Sanitation workers

· Manages inventory of supplies

· Provides coverage for both Logistics Manager and Office Manager

· Handles all sample requests

· Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors

· Supports the management team both at the plant and warehouse

Essential qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Previous experience working in both manufacturing and warehouse environment preferred

· Basic math and recording abilities, experience in Quickbooks preferred

· Data entry and computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint,

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent

Physical requirements:

· Frequentl bending and lifting required (50 pounds)

· Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
