Crispus Attucks Charter School is Hiring a High School Science Teacher Near York, PA

Full-time science teacher (biology, general science, and any other PA science certifications) needed to work with high school students, ages 17-21, for the Crispus Attucks YouthBuild Charter School beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Creative curriculum and instructional planning.
  • Knowledge of the PA science standards.
  • Adapt curriculum to learners with a variety of needs.
  • Use assessments to adapt instructional strategies.
  • Relate to a multi-cultural group of young people.
  • Effectively manage the behaviors of a classroom of learners (no more than 15) using restorative practices and positive behavior support.
  • Utilize technology to deliver instruction and provide a variety of instructional materials.
  • Use strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to team-teach.
  • Work as a part of a greater school team.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Salary is based on the budget for the school year and level of experience.

Upon hire, charter school will need: letter of interest, PA standard application, copy of valid PA certificate, current clearances Acts 34, 151 and 114, physical and TB test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
