Who We Are Looking For Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the Intelligence Analyst II will support the analytical needs of client engagements. The Analyst will work directly with his/her Manager and the EIS team to produce analysis addressing client-specific requirements. Location/Hours:The position reports to the client’s headquarters in Ashburn, VA, three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The analyst’s weekly schedule will be Sunday through Thursday, 10am-6pm ET. What You Will Work On In coordination with Crisis24 EIS Managers, and in accordance with appropriate guidance: Gather, assess, and disseminate analysis on the nature of global security threats, the likelihood that they will affect the client's travelers, assets, and operations, and what the likely effects areActively monitor open-source media, third-party subscription services, and other sources in real-time for issues that could affect business operations and personnelOpen source intelligence collection and analysis of regional trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, customized intelligence products to decision-makersUsing the intelligence cycle, research, assess, and support the production of written intelligence products that meet client requirements as well as EIS analytic standards, including but not limited to: Travel Threat Assessments, Location Threat Assessments (Neighborhood-, City-, or Country-level), Site Threat Assessments, Event Threat Assessments, Requests for Intelligence, Daily Incident Assessments or Intelligence Products, Threat Forecasting, Scenario Forecasting, Social Media Monitoring, Online Exposure AssessmentsProduce written and oral assessments that are succinct and include beneficial analysisLiaise with the client to better understand their requirements and concernsUnderstand the client's footprint and interests to anticipate client needsSupport daily intelligence products for wide distribution, ensuring the reporting is timely, accurate, actionable, and in accordance with reporting criteriaDeliver oral and written threat briefings to members of the Client’s security team or business leadership teamsWork with security team members effectively and efficientlySuggest to manager potential improvements to the programManage client expectations by understanding the EIS team's product offerings and limitationsTrack and report metrics around production and deliverablesEngage in cross-project analysis, including consistent sharing of information between analysts, participating in webinars or other external-facing group projects, and red-teaming peer analysts’ workBe consistently engaged on a daily basis with teammatesConceptualize, develop, and propose to management business or intelligence initiatives to support departmental growth What You Will Bring 2-4 years of experience in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, incident response, security operations, or a related field requiredBachelor's degree required, focus on relevant field preferred; Master's degree preferredExcellent research skillsExceptional analytic writing skills, including familiarity with analytic techniquesExcellent verbal briefing skillsEffective problem-solving skillsFast learner and ability to multitaskAbility to organize and prioritize work with little supervisionFamiliarity or experience with OSINT, SOCINT, threat intelligence tools, and case management systems.Experience conducting comprehensive open-source investigations.Evaluate the credibility and severity of identified threats to executives and at-risk personnel during POI investigations.Conduct vulnerability assessments on executives and high-visibility employees, and develop risk mitigation strategies.Establishing and maintaining positive professional rapport with other analysts and subject matter experts (SMEs), as well as client contactsForeign language and travel experience preferredCustomer service experience preferredExperience overseeing other analysts' work a plusExperience leading projects with several other analystsAs a condition of employment, candidates will be asked to pass a background check and writing and technology aptitude screenings.
