Duties:
Obtains and accurately documents relevant health histories, with emphasis on mental health
Performs comprehensive psychiatric
Elicits information from multiple sources using assessment techniques that are appropriate to the client’s language, culture and developmental stage
Prescribes psychotropic and related medications based on clinical indicators
Meets productivity requirements
Educates clients, and family members if appropriate, on a variety of health related topics
Participates in emergency response activities as assigned
Maintains required training, licensure, and/or certification
Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to patient privacy laws
Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups, cultures, and sexual orientations
Available to respond to clients and/or customers including after hours availability
Attend staff meetings
Meet with Medical Director as needed
Follow protocols for documentation per Bureau of Medical Facilities Licensing (BMFL), hospital, insurance company guidelines, and standard practices of care.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from a program that was fully accredited during the entire time of the practitioner’s attendance. Must supply copies of degrees and transcripts as requested.
Current, unrestricted license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Current Board Certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Other Items:
Must comply with training and supervision requirements during first 90 days of employment, and throughout employment.
All licensed, certified or registered staff will be monitored regarding restrictions, Medicare/Medicaid sanctions, criminal violations, subsequent malpractice actions and any settlement made on behalf of practitioner.
Provide evidence of professional liability insurance coverage in the amount acceptable, minimum $1/$3 million
All CPR clinical staff is required to apply for, and/or present and maintain, within 7 days of hire, a Class One Fingerprint Clearance card. If application is necessary, a copy must be submitted to include in personnel file until card is received. Also to provide a copy of the card upon any renewal. This includes any volunteers, interns and administrative staff positions as needed.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance must be maintained at all time. Must maintain current CPR/First Aid card.
All nurse practitioners at CPR are required to carry individual malpractice insurance.
All expirables to be renewed and submitted 30 days prior to expiration date. It is the duty of the licensee to keep all expirables active and current and report any mandated change to the Board immediately. #IND
