The ideal candidate would:

• Act as the first point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health services.
• Engage with clients compassionately and empathetically to understand their needs and concerns.
• Provide information about available services, treatment options, and support resources.
• Efficiently schedule and manage appointments for clients and coordinate with behavioral health professionals.
• Document interactions, appointments, and any relevant information in the client management system.
• Guide clients on accessing the client portal.
• Process all record requests by verifying valid authorizations to release information, collecting the minimum client information needed to fulfill the request from the electronic health record, and providing the documentation to the requestor adhering to all applicable HIPAA rules.
• Provide administrative support to the Privacy Officer to complete HIPAA-related tasks.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and compassion.
• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Have the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Be able to complete all other related tasks.

Education/Experience requirements:

• Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field required. Equivalent relevant work experience in behavioral health, case management, or care navigation will be considered in place of a formal degree.

Hours:

This is a part time (20 hours/week) non-exempt position. Hours 3pm-7pm, Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position will be based out of our main office located in Augusta, ME.

Pay rate:

Pay ranges from $17.00/hr. to $19.00/hr.
