Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Insurance Industry

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in the insurance industry at Crimson Holding Group located in Irving, TX. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, creating and analyzing financial statements, financial reporting, utilizing analytical skills for decision-making and strategic planning, and ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial growth and profitability. The CFO will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and optimize operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Evaluate financial performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial regulations.
    • Oversee the audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Risk Management and Insurance Operations:
    • Manage and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective risk management strategies.
    • Provide strategic guidance on insurance operations, including underwriting, claims, and reinsurance activities.
    • Monitor insurance reserves and ensure adequacy in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Investment Management:
    • Oversee investment activities and portfolio management to maximize returns while managing risk.
    • Develop and implement investment policies and strategies in alignment with company objectives.
    • Monitor investment performance and provide regular updates to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Financial Leadership and Team Management:
    • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
    • Recruit, train, and develop finance talent to support the company's growth and strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the insurance industry.
  • Deep understanding of insurance operations, including underwriting, claims, and reinsurance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial compliance standards in the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and driving results in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future trends and challenges and develop proactive solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
