Schedule: Full-time, Year-round, Live-in
(Monday - Friday with weekend flexibility)
Location: Southport, CT (and possibly some travel to Naples, Fla)
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/yr depending on experience
Accommodation: Private one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of the building where the principals reside.
Benefits: 2 weeks of paid vacation
Overview:
A lovely senior couple in Southport, CT would like to hire a trustworthy, professional, and dependable domestic Companion/Aide to live in full-time. The principals reside in a townhouse in CT and may wish to spend time in their home in Naples FL, which would require traveling with them to this location.
They are seeking an intelligent, polished, and poised individual who is at home in a formal environment. This is a hands-on role where you will work as part of a domestic team. Your schedule will be full-time but not a 9-5 situation – the candidate must be extremely flexible to address the changing needs of the principals and coordinate to fill gaps in the existing staff schedule. Night-time hours are required to provide mobility support for walks to the bathroom for one of the principals.
The position may require preparing healthy meals when requested; providing routine support as needed; light housekeeping; and laundry, and accompanying the principals when they leave the home for appointments, events, dining, etc.

Duties:
Assist with daily living activities as requested, offer companionship, and ensure the overall well-being and safety of the principals while preserving their feeling of independence
Collaborate with other domestic staff members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Mobility support as each of the principals uses a cane
Nighttime assistance to ensure the safety of the principal when walking to the bathroom
Medication management
Monitor blood pressure
Light cooking, housekeeping, and laundry as needed
Walk the dog
Character:
Professional, proactive, capable, and resourceful
Polished in appearance and demeanor
Willing and able to work as part of a tea
High level of discretion, loyalty, and integrity
Strong communicator
Sound judgment and common sense
Requirements:
5 years’ experience as a companion, aide, or in a similar position
Excellent references
Must drive and be fully vaccinated.
Non-smoker
Some type of medical degree or certification required (e.g.., nursing degree, CNA, or HHA certification)
Must love dogs as one dog is a beloved member of the household
