Reports to: General Manager of Crickler Rochester Location
Job Overview:
The Warehouse Manager is a key position within Crickler Vending Company. This person is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operating the warehouse pick line, ensuring all incoming product is stocked appropriately and managing a staff consisting of approximately 20 team members and their completion of tasks throughout the day. Almost all products sent to customer locations pass through the picking staff in our Rochester Location. We rely on the warehouse manager to ensure the right product reaches each customer whilst ensuring operational efficiency is kept in mind. This is a personnel management position in which you will be challenged to continuously assist us in improving and maintaining stable day-to-day operations. While personnel management is a large component in this position, Crickler also uses multiple technology platforms to operate efficiently. You will need to be comfortable with technology and capable of managing technological changes as we continue to grow, adapt, and thrive in an ever-changing business environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and maintain the ‘LightSpeed’ Picking system.
- Learn and maintain all processes for picking any product that is deemed to be an item picked by the warehouse staff.
- Run and Lock service orders from multiple Crickler locations.
- Load Service orders into ‘LightSpeed’ and ensure accuracy of that data.
- Create and maintain processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of product picking.
- Create inventory transfers through appropriate systems to track product movement and whereabouts.
- Trouble shoot issues each day that may arise in computer systems or Personnel processes. This will require reaching out to technical support and correcting issues remotely as well as in person from time to time.
- Manage and oversee all warehouse employees.
- Coordinate pickers and stockers to ensure time efficiency. Scheduling employees accordingly to their employment status and staying within the correct time frame of scheduling hours.
- Manage completion of physical inventories of all products on a bi-weekly basis.
- Identify areas of improvement in daily processes and adjust accordingly to maximize process efficiencies and pick-line accuracy.
- Fill in for Pickers/Stockers should there be days when staffing levels are low due to various factors.
- Ensure all health/safety and all other Crickler policies and procedures are enforced while accomplishing daily tasks.
- Manage the completion of the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedule of duties through assigning tasks to team members.
- Ensuring cleanliness as a high priority in the warehouse and communicating this effectively with staff.
- Assist in scheduling PTO for all warehouse staff in a manner that provides consistent service coverage while allowing PTO to be used.
- Communicating staffing needs with the General Manager as frequent as needed.
- Has a forward-thinking mindset and strong problem-solving skill set.
- Other duties may be assigned as business volume increases.
Qualifications:
- Ability to prepare reports.
- Experience with Office 365 or Microsoft suite of products.
- Ability to effectively engage in business correspondence.
- Present information, respond promptly to questions and concerns from managers, clients, customers, employees, and general public.
- Ability to learn and adapt effectively to new technology.
- Ability to keep confidential information protected and share with HR when needed.
- Has a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to push a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate a hand truck and forklift.
- Full upper extremity range of motion.
- Full lower extremity range of motion.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general food service documents, memos.
- Ability to read software operations manuals. Excellent communicator with strong technical aptitude who remains abreast of industry/technology trends. Ability to communicate through email effectively.
Covid-19 Requirements
- Abide by all Crickler procedures and policies.
Hours and Work from Home Capabilities:
- Daily Hours: 8:45AM to 5:30PM
- This is the minimum requirement for this position and additional hours may apply based on workload. Hours may fluctuate depending on when the pick process is completed each day.
- The work week consists of Sunday through Thursday.
- This position is based in the Rochester, NY branch.
- Work From Home (WFH) Capabilities are not available for this position.
