Job Summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure is looking for Production Engineer Intern. Interns will have the opportunity to apply your classroom-learned skills to track data, analyze processes, and recommend solutions for improvement based on the gathered data from our facilities. You'll engage with leaders and associates throughout the site, receive hands-on experience through shadowing & ownership of a meaningful project.
This position is expected to start in-person around 2024 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2024). We ask for a minimum of 10 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
Key Responsibilities
Define manufacturing process issues, collect data, analyze facts, implement solutions, and review as needed
Documentation of new processes
Rotate through multidisciplinary teams, including Quality, Safety, Drafting, and Operations, to gain exposure to all aspects of engineering
Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to minimize downtime
Internal review of drawings, specs and reports
Qualifications / Required Skills
Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing or other related field
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Inventor, and AutoCAD
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast paced high stress environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and exemplary oral/written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
Ability to write reports and analyze raw data
