CRF Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a Nursing Coordinator - RN Near San Diego, CA

Hours: 32 hours per week; 4 days per week between Monday – Friday with flexible day off. This position supports our Downtown IMPACT, IMPACT, Senior IMPACT programs.

Pay Range: $65.00 to $67.00 per hour

Licensure: Current California RN (Registered Nurse) license and must be kept current throughout employment

As a Nurse Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and oversee the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs' Behavioral Health Nursing Care.
  • Provide direction and consultation to nursing staff.
  • Provide guidance to program nurses in assisting clients to access community medical and psychiatric resources to achieve optimal level of health and functioning in the community.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program nursing responsibilities consistent with County guidelines.
  • Participate in the hiring, orientation, and training process of ACT Program Nurses, and assist Program Directors with annual performance appraisals upon request.
  • Coordinate and chair quarterly ACT nursing meetings.
  • Consult and coordinate services with community, social, health and welfare agencies when there is an identified need (i.e., issues with Quest billing or pharmacy issues)
  • Work with the Vice President of ACT and Supportive Housing and Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures if needed, and special nursing projects as needed.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • BLS certification or CPR/First Aid certification required and must be kept current throughout employment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders required.
  • Experience working in an ACT model strongly preferred
  • Ability to physically and mentally able to assist in emergency situations is required
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  • A valid California driver’s license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs (Downtown IMPACT, IMPACT, Senior IMPACT and South Bay IMPACT) provide intensive, community-based case management services for homeless adults and senior adults in the Central and South region of San Diego County. We deliver fully-integrated services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance disorders.
