Hours: 24 hours per week. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Thursday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Pay Rate: $34.25 to $36.00 per hour

Education: Master’s degree in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling

Licensure: Licensed, licensed-eligible, or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and must be kept current throughout employment

As a Clinician - Assessment, you will:

• Provide screening, clinical assessments, case management and outreach for outpatient program clients diagnosed with severe mental illness and may be dually diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder
• Conduct collateral interviews, develops individual service plans and participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning
• Provide crisis intervention as appropriate
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team regarding discharge planning in progress
• Collaborate with nursing staff to arrange continuing care medication maintenance
• Assist clients with obtaining treatment benefits and other community-based supports to facilitate recovery and improvement

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with working with individuals who have a severe and persistent mental illness, as well as co-occurring disorders required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
• Able to pass criminal/background clearance

The Adult Outpatient programs (AOP) provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, peer support and older adult outreach. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

Jane Westin Center is a full-time urgent psychiatric walk-in center that provides screening, triage, clinical and psychiatric assessment, medication support, and discharge planning.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
