We are looking for a Sheet Metal Foreman to supervise and coordinate activities of the craft personnel engaged in the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal equipment, products, and structures. They will be heavily involved in actual repair, fabrication and installation and must have knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of sheet metal, knowledge of tools and equipment required in the sheet metal trade and knowledge of shop mathematics and principles.

Typical Duties

· Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated or installed.

· Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.

· Interpret specifications, blueprints and work orders as needed for an area of supervision.

· Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings or worksites.

· Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

· Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment, materials, and the capabilities of assigned personnel.

· Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.

· Analyze and resolve work problems.

· Maintain time records and coordinates schedules.

· Provide input for project estimates and schedules.

· Coordinate project activities with other trades.

· Supervise and coordinate sub-contractor activities.

· Works in conjunction with the assigned project manager to coordinate project schedules, deliveries, and activities.

Qualifications

· Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines

· Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment, and products, utilizing a knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques

· Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders

· Ability to analyze and solve work problems

· Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion

· Experience leading craft workers and coordinating activities

· Ability to use MS Office to include Outlook email
