Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Nursing Home Administrator in Training. As an Administrator in Training, you will be provided with a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful Nursing Home Administrator.
Responsibilities:
1. Training and Development: Participate in a structured training program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and functions of a Nursing Home Administrator. Learn about the regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures governing nursing home operations.
2. Observational Learning: Shadow experienced administrators to gain insights into the day-to-day operations of a nursing home facility, including resident care, staff management, financial management, and compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Resident Care Oversight: Assist in overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to residents by collaborating with healthcare professionals, monitoring care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
4. Staff Management: Learn to recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and fostering a positive work environment.
5. Financial Management: Acquire knowledge of financial operations, including budgeting, billing, insurance, and reimbursement processes, and work closely with the finance department to ensure efficient financial management.
6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and promoting resident satisfaction.
7. Interdepartmental Coordination: Develop effective working relationships with various departments, such as nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and activities, to ensure seamless operations and resident satisfaction.
8. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations, and work towards maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
9. Communication and Leadership: Develop strong communication and leadership skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, families, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelors in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in providing high-quality care for the elderly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
