Paris Health and Rehab Centeris seeking aHIM Medical Records Clerk/Scheduler to join our growing team! 

Paris Health and Rehab Center is seeking a Medical Records Clerk/Scheduler to join our expanding staff at our skilled nursing facility in Paris, IL! You will work hand-in-hand with our already wonderful and compassionate team.

Your Job 

The Medical Records Clerk/Scheduler performs technical and clerical health information department functions in accordance with departmental and facility policies under the supervision of the facility Administrator and our Health Information Consultant. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for assembly and analysis of discharge medical records and maintains filing of medical records. As the Scheduler at Paris Health and Rehab, you will work with our Clinical Department and Administrator to coordinate schedules for our staff. This position handles caregiver questions regarding shifts that need to be scheduled or changed, as well as selecting and assigning caregivers to fill open shifts.

  • Preparing patient charts and gathering information and documents from patients 
  • Ensuring that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete
  • Creating digital copies of paperwork and storing the records electronically
  • Filing the paperwork and reports of inpatients quickly and accurately
  • Safeguarding patient records and ensuring that everyone complies with the HIPAA standards
  • Transferring data into the facility’s main system database
  • Work with nursing department to create facility schedules 
  • Work with caregivers to make sure all schedules are staffed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Administrator
