Director of Nursing (DON) Opportunity 

Odin Health & Rehab Center is looking for a Director of Nursing to join our growing team!

The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Odin Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient-centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care. The DON participates in the facility's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The DON will also be required to manage, train, and motivationally support the nursing staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience within Nursing Home environments, demonstrate nursing leadership, possess a strong ability to work with and develop teams, and have an in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and protocols.

Your Job:

  • Treat and care for residents and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Work cooperatively with healthcare team members to maintain established standards of care.
  • Manage patients' data and medical records as confidential records.
  • Communicate with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health.
  • Ensure the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and onboard new nursing staff.
  • Implement new procedures and train Nurses on policies.
  • Assist with care planning process. Develop/implement quality assurance and risk management programs.
  • Make daily rounds to direct employees' work, observe for hazards, work duty problems, and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with needs.
  • Assist with continuous quality improvement and corrective follow-up actions.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.

Who You Are:

  • Current Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • A professional team player with a commitment of maintaining a reliable shift history
