LAB23 is a brand new restaurant here in Frisco, TX! LAB23 will provide upscale contemporary cuisine, pastries, and coffee in a quick service caf concept. You can expect to work with a team of highly trained professionals, led by a third generation culinary maestro, Aaron Thomas.
As a LAB23 KITCHEN barista, you will create an experience for our customers through excellent service and expertly crafted products. You will be in an energetic store environment where you will have the ability to master your food & beverage capabilities. Come be a part of our team!

Compensation & Hours:

• $14.00-$16.00 per hour
• Part time
• Morning, day, and night shifts available

Responsibilities:

• Manage transactions with customers using cash register
• Collect payments & issue receipts or refunds
• Resolve customer complaints
• Maintain a clean and tidy caf
• Keep customer coffee bars refilled and stocked
• Take customer orders and communicate them to the kitchen using POS
• Greet customers
• Utilize a balance sheet to keep track of cash transactions and discrepancies
• Assist with events
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
• Other duties as assigned by owner and executive chef

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service, cashier, or barista experience is a plus but is not required. We will train you!
• Available to work part time or full time hours
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to build relationships
