Twenty Four hour accountability for department including: effective performance, management, communication, resource management and leadership for Med Surgical and ICU departments.
Utilizes the nursing process including: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recording of patient care.
Teaches, delegates and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of nursing care. Coordinates services with other members of the healthcare team to provide complex patient care.
Practices within the scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies/procedures/standards.
Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
FLSA: Exempt
Must-Haves :
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current/valid NC Registered Nurse’s License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
- Three years of clinical experience in a manager's or director's role.
Nice-To-Haves :
- Five or More years of clinical experience in a manager's or director's role
