The core responsibility of this Showroom Manager role is to provide high quality service to walk-in and call-in customers while leading a team of 1-2 inside sales team members.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain a clean and attractive showroom while collaborating with sales leadership to continually refresh the displays and merchandising.
· Execute and lead on all phases of the customer service process, from opportunity to fulfillment, including processing transactions in computer system.
· Collaborate with manufacturer representatives to schedule regular product training to maintain a continuous learning environment.
Optimal experience:
· Lighting and/or electrical industry experience, and/or
· Management in a building materials distribution trade.
Skills:
· Must be able to learn the fundamentals of lighting and lighting design if no prior experience.
· Should be solutions and service oriented to help customers with options and selections.
· Able to multi-task, manage time effectively, and follow-up on all open projects to completion.
· Able to provide career development leadership for team members who have aspirations for showroom management and/or lighting sales careers.
· Able to build, install, and maintain lighting fixtures, fans, and other displays.
Showroom hours are 8AM - 5PM weekdays and 9AM - 1PM Saturdays. Manager is responsible for aligning team schedules to ensure showroom coverage while minimizing overtime expenses.
Hourly compensation will depend on skills and/or industry experience. Total compensation also includes generous holiday bonuses and company profit sharing plan.
