JOB OVERVIEW: The Manager of Fun is responsible for creating and implementing engaging and enjoyable activities, events, and programs to boost employee morale, foster a positive work environment, and enhance team cohesion within the organization. This role aims to inject fun and excitement into the workplace while promoting a healthy work-life balance.

REPORTS TO: Director of Recreation

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop a calendar of fun activities, such as themed parties, team-building exercises, game nights, and wellness initiatives for both guests and team members.
  • Organize and coordinate events both in-person and virtually to cater to diverse employee preferences.
  • Oversee both indoor and outdoor pool operations and Cabana rentals.
  • Check fitness center and Volleyball areas and create event for those areas.
  • Collaborate with various departments to incorporate fun elements into daily operations and meetings.
  • Source and manage vendors for entertainment, catering, or supplies needed for events.
  • Evaluate the success of activities through feedback surveys and participation rates to continuously improve offerings.
  • Maintain a budget for fun initiatives and ensure cost-effective planning.
  • Stay updated on trends in workplace engagement and suggest innovative ideas to keep employees motivated.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Activities, Event Planning, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in event coordination or employee engagement roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creativity and a passion for creating enjoyable experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Event Planning or Employee Engagement.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
 Working Conditions:
The Manager of Fun will primarily work in an outdoor setting on property but may need to travel occasionally for off-site events. This role may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate evening or weekend activities.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, can solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
