Crescent Electric Supply is Hiring a Training specialist Near Jeffersonville, IN

As the Warehouse Training Specialist, you will facilitate and provide training for new employees at distribution centers and warehouses.

In this role, you will provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and support for new employees. You may also assist with formal training practices, including classroom teaching and support.

PRIMARY DUTIES :

  • Serve as training support for distribution center employees. Monitor and track training to ensure employees meet onboarding milestones.
  • Provide warehouse and on-the-job training for all employees of a distribution center or warehouse, ranging from clerk to receiver to driver.
  • Travel to all distribution centers and possibly surrounding branches to provide training.
  • Provide mentorship to employees to ensure they receive all necessary and desired training. Identify high-potential new employees during training.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training and Crescent Electric Training Guide (CETG) content is accurate and up to date.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

  • Associates Degree in Operations, Training, or field related to the job duties; or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates Degree.
  • 1 year of experience working in a warehouse / distribution center environment.
  • 6 months of experience working in a training and / or lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Apply excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present training to all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and achieve results without direct leadership responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully communicate information to people with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Ability and willingness to provide current, direct, and constructive feedback, and take action to resolve issues, as needed.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Zoom, and Microsoft Office Programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability and means to travel up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays.
