Supply Chain Specialist - Warehouse Inventory and Insurance
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist - Warehouse Inventory and Insurance, will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations. The primary responsibilities will include managing inbound shipments and warehouse inventory, conducting insurance research, supporting month-end closing processes, and actively participating in warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements
3 years international cargo supply chain experience
Business or Supply Chain College Degree preferred or equivalent experience required
International inbound shipment experience
Warehouse inventory experience
Service price negotiation experience
Must have competent skills in Microsoft Office Software especially word and excel
Attention to details
Great organizational skills
Performance Measures and Job Duties
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of products.
Implement best practices for inventory control, including FIFO, ABC analysis, and cycle counting.
Assist insurance claims investigations by collecting logistics, invoiced costs, inventory and damage report documents.
Monitor inventory levels in warehouses and report shortages, quality defects and aged/excess inventory to ensure compliance with insurance limits.
Assist in the month-end closing process by reconciling inventory records and preparing reports.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Participate in inventory audits and variance analysis.
Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Exercise due diligence and adherence to all internal control procedures.
Safeguard Confidential information regarding all company affairs.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Support the annual financial audit
In your absence you are to ensure that the tasks assigned to you are adequately covered by trained personnel. You are responsible to communicate and work with your manager to ensure your workload is covered when you are out.
Allocate resources to achieve goals, objectives, and programs
Adhere to all Site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Requirements, Local, State, and Federal Regulations
Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations
Site Visits required from time to time to warehouse locations. Travel required.
