POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the CI Manager is responsible for continuous improvement and enhanced efficiencies across the company’s systems, operations, and work flows. They will work with Senior leadership team to develop, set the pace, and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizational structure, culture, people, and processes. They will be responsible for the successful management and implementation of improvement projects/initiatives across the business by developing enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible teams and by building strong cross-functional working relationships.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience.
Kind & Length of Experience:
Direct experience an Autonomous Maintenance journey required.
Proficiency with lean tools to include Kaizen, 8 Wastes, standard work, process mapping, and iterative problem solving tools.
Lean manufacturing certification required
Experience developing and facilitating employee training programs and problem-solving events
High Bias for action
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to motivate individuals and/or groups to engage positively in change events.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
Serves as a lean facilitator, coach, and mentor to business leadership and front-line associates on how to effectively participate in problem solving events and implementation of relevant tools and theories.
Work with business leaders to drive the lean transformation. Bridge gaps between knowledge and skills to support leaders in their learning activities
Work with HR leadership to define training plans and development schedule for business unit leadership, members of local CI organization, targeted employees, and employees at large as required.
Coordinate improvement events across single site or multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
Designing lean training curriculum for multiple segments of the organization through the development and lens of The Cremer Way.
Be Intimately familiar with available Lean Training Resources (online tools, established presentations, videos, and simulations) to be able to recommend or facilitate, as needed.
Identify areas that require outside expertise to develop onsite skills as necessary.
Own the creation and management of company CI documentation and establish necessary standards to support culture change.
Analyze current production processes and identify areas for improvement and work with site leadership to implement.
Adhere to all site environmental, health, safety and security requirements, local, state, and federal regulations
