  • Monday - Friday Full Time (3 X 12) Day SHIFTS.
  • The Nurse Manager must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/residents served within his/her assigned area of responsibility.
  • The Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and process the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's/residents requirements relative to age specific needs.
  • Requires interpersonal skills which ensure effective communication with staff, patients, families, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of management systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective work relationships in an effort to lead others in the direction of meeting organizational objectives.
  • Analytical skills to assess departmental needs develop and implement planned interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of applied interventions.
  • Basic management competencies for the postion assigned.
  • Ability to facilitate project management work effectively under pressure and should meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
  • Familiarity with Department Of Health requirements.
  • Specifically: being professional communicating effectively and attending to the care environment.
  • This is evidenced by work behavior which ensures safety promotes dignity respect and well being and exemplifies healthy relationships.
  • The Nurse Manager has major responsibility for implementation of strategies and activities designed to achieve and support uncompromising quality exceptional patient safety and an outstanding patient / resident /family experience.
  • The Nurse Manager intentionally creates an environment that fosters staff development staff empowerment collegial relationships and best practice in the delivery of nursing care.
  • The Nurse Manager allocates resources to promote efficient effective compassionate and fiscally responsible nursing care.
  • The Nurse Manager assures the coordination of care across department lines through a focus on systems that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
  • The Nurse Manager participates in the recruitment selection and retention of personnel.

  • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
  • Required tasks involve potential contact with blood body fluids and tissue.

The Homestead- Travel RN Nurse Manager (RN / Registered Nurse) Requirements:

  • Licensure: Active New York License
  • Certification: AHA BLS, ACLS
  • Experience: 2 years
  • Computer literacy required with word processing spreadsheets power point
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products including word excel and power point.
