CreditAssociates, a leading direct-to-consumer financial services company based in Plano, TX, seeks a Revenue Assurance Specialist to join its team. As a Revenue Assurance Specialist, you will ensure that we are scheduling and collecting our fees in strict adherence to company policies, clients’ agreements, and creditor/client contracts. When discrepancies arise, our division is solely responsible for researching, correcting errors, and effectively communicating any changes required. The role of the Revenue Assurance Specialist requires a thorough understanding of accounting “best practices” specific to both our industry as well as company and the ability to handle a high volume of work in both timely and accurate manner. In addition to corrective accounting, the Revenue Department is responsible for managing cash flow by restructuring client fee schedules to optimize collections without jeopardizing active settlements.

Responsibilities:

• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies of settlements
• Communicate recurring issues or trends and assist in improving processes
• Assist monthly in restructuring fee schedules to ensure cash flow goal is met
• Adjusting collection dates of fees to prevent settlement defaults
• Manage daily compliance reports which require detailed notes and follow up/follow through
• Occasionally assist in recording daily accounting transactions from bank deposits
• Assist in creating/changing SOPS as processes change and effectively communicate processes internally when needed
• Updating various excel spreadsheets (moderate excel skills)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
• Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
• Banking, accounting or debt settlement experience is a plus but NOT required
