CreditAssociates, a leading direct-to-consumer financial services company based in Plano, TX, seeks a Negotiator to join its team. The Negotiator will be responsible for delivering the settlement product to our clients by working with their direct creditors or potential collection agencies to settle their debt for the lowest amount possible. The Negotiators play a strategic role in resolving settlement escalated issues by providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an action plan for negotiation client debt
• Contact collectors and agencies to negotiate on client’s behalf for a reduced settlement
• Build strong relationships with creditors to negotiate the lowest possible settlement
• Maintain the daily workload to meet daily/weekly/ monthly goals
• Calculate funds necessary to complete settlements
• Review hardship and budget specific to clients’ circumstances
• Gathering and submitting required documents for approval and payment of accounts
• Monitors and identifies trends relating to the movement of accounts through the collections process
• Clearly document notes with clear direction to ensure clarity for any subsequent agent working with client
• Update and maintain records
• Establish account resolution timelines and ensure adequate and timely follow up
• Perform various other tasks assigned by direct supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Minimum 1- year of experience in the financial services
• Minimum 1- year of experience in the collections, sales, or negotiations
