Job Description: The Mental Health Program Director is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of mental health programs within Credent Care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals and communities in need. The Director will lead a team of mental health professionals, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

Program Development and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive mental health programs tailored to the needs of diverse populations served by Credent Care.
  • Define program objectives, strategies, and interventions to address prevalent mental health issues in the community.
  • Conduct needs assessments, stakeholder consultations, and data analysis to inform program planning and decision-making.

Staff Management and Development:

  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including therapists, counselors, case managers, and support staff.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members, and ensure accountability for achieving program goals.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and financial sustainability.
  • Monitor expenditures, revenue streams, and funding sources, identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization, and secure additional funding through grants, contracts, or partnerships.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collect and analyze data on program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based practices and interventions to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular program evaluations, stakeholder feedback sessions, and performance reviews to assess program impact and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Collaboration and Networking:

  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal departments, external agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance access to mental health services and resources.
  • Represent [Organization Name] in community forums, task forces, and coalitions focused on mental health advocacy, policy development, and system integration.
  • Participate in local, regional, or state-level initiatives and committees aimed at addressing mental health disparities and promoting wellness and resilience.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field. (master’s degree and Licensed Mental Health Professional preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, preferably in the field of mental health or behavioral healthcare.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience in building and maintaining partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and cultural competency principles in mental health service delivery.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, financial management, and grant writing processes.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a passion for addressing mental health disparities and promoting social justice.
