What is Creator Camp? (CreatorCamp.org)

Founded in 2021 by 5 college students, Creator Camp is an indoor creative summer program dedicated to teaching animation, filmmaking, YouTube content creation, Minecraft modding, Roblox game design, and music production to kids ages 6 to 13.

We envision a future where every child perceives technology not merely as a means to consume content, but as a powerful tool for creating and expressing their unique visions.

Within 3 years, Creator Camp has become one of the fastest-growing creative summer camps in the US.

About the Assistant Instructor

Creator Camp is seeking dynamic and creative Assistant Instructors for our summer 2024 session. As a Assistant Instructor, you will inspire and facilitate children in various creative disciplines, including animation, stop-motion, filmmaking, coding, and content creation. This role is not a direct teaching role and will mainly be supporting the Lead Instructor in delivering the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children in a classroom or summer camp setting strongly preferred.
• Interest in fields related to digital art, filmmaking, animation, coding, or game design.
• Knowledge of or interest in Minecraft and/or Roblox.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must pass a background check.
• MUST be available for at least 4 consecutive weeks throughout the entire summer program, from June 3 to August 9.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Instructor in delivering course content related to digital art, filmmaking, animation, coding, or game design.
• Report to the Lead Instructor and Camp Manager.
• Engage with and supervise a class of 6-20 students under the direction of a Lead Instructor.
• Actively participate in students' projects; for instance, some students might involve you in their film creations.
• Monitor students and organize activities during recess and lunch breaks.
• Craft personalized 'Thank You' cards for students at the end of camp to inspire their creative journeys.
• Prepare the classroom for the next day by organizing and tidying up.
• Collaborate in hosting the Creator Camp Oscars Ceremony and present students with their well-earned trophies.
• Facilitate the check-in and check-out process during drop-off and pick-up.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
