The Web Strategist is a driven, well-organized individual who plays a crucial role to our organization in the execution of digital marketing initiatives for both internal and external customers. This person will work within the Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMAC) department reporting to the Vice President of Digital Strategy and will work closely with other teams within the organization as needed and must be an excellent communicator. The Web Strategist will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity, prioritize work based on business objectives and conceptualize ideas which align with the company’s vision. We rely on your initiative, creativity and analytical abilities to generate efficiency ideas and best practices from your day-to-day encounters to help propel the team and business forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project manage the full website lifecycle, from planning to launch, and increase operational efficiency of all website initiatives.
  • Assist in crafting web strategy for internal and client-facing websites.
  • Draft and refine website outlines for copywriters and designers.
  • Plan and lead collaboration sessions with cross-functional teams to define web needs.
  • Manage third-party website tools and software (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, heat mapping software, and more).
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) analysis of all aspects of website strategy, including timelines, creative assets, landing pages, integrations, automations, and tracking tags.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to recommend new digital opportunities, including competitor research analysis, internal wins, and innovative marketing strategies across all industries.
  • Create content strategy deliverables like as content outlines, information architecture, and SEO content briefs.
  • Own the SEO strategy and keyword research.
  • Analyze site performance and user data to make recommendations.
  • Develop and track KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot all tag, delivery discrepancy, targeting, and trafficking issues.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and digital tool providers to stay ahead of our needs as an organization in the rapidly changing environment of digital marketing.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated ability to write in powerful, compelling, clear, easy to grasp language, especially in short-form and digital formatting.
  • Proven ability to give constructive feedback across teams and departments.
  • Experience leading website launches and website marketing planning.
  • Expert level understanding of information architecture (site maps, navigation, etc.).
  • Expert level understanding of UX, website content, and strategy.
  • Understanding of website accessibility and ADA
  • Familiarity with Google products and SEO.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years relevant experience in a website-related role. Agency or Publisher experience preferred. Financial background a plus, but not necessary.
  • Proficient with website builders, CMS’s, and analytics & tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixels, Webflow, Figma, Duda, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including understanding of formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of KPIs for digital media.
  • Quick learner and able to rapidly acquire and apply technical skills.
  • Basic understanding of HTML preferred.
