Job Summary:

Responsible for Setting up and Maintaining creative werks Manufacturing equipment, which includes Blow Molding, Injection Blow Molding & Un-Winding Machines. Performs mold- corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Ensure that Blow Molding & Injection Blow Molding machines, molds, fixtures, and auxiliary equipment are set-up properly to meet CW’s safety, quality and productivity requirements
• Responds to work requests and takes corrective action involving quality issues, processing, and/or minor machine, mold, and auxiliary equipment repairs
• Ensure that production jobs are running to appropriate cycle specifications in order to meet attainment and full machine capabilities
• Analyze molding defects to determine the root cause and initiates a material, machine, process, or tooling remedy

- Troubleshoot blow molding process and product quality issues.

- Work closely with Q.A. Department to ensure compliance with customer’s specifications.

- Be able to perform General and Preventative Maintenance on Blow Molders and auxiliary equipment.

- Be able to make mold and die head tooling changeovers in an efficient and timely manner.

• Recommends tooling and/or machine improvements for mold repairs, processes, yields, scrap, waste, etc.
• Effectively communicate with the shift personnel regarding part quality, equipment, special instructions, corrective action, and productivity
• Communicates with and assists other process technicians, shift supervisors and all technical employees on technical issues
• Actively participate in production floor improvements
• Maintain & Organize Maintenance Shop area
• Suggest / Request Parts / Inventory Parts

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be Self-motivated, with the ability to complete assigned tasks with the minimal amount of supervision
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak in English is Mandatory
• Strong Mechanical & Technical aptitude
• Average math skills
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and management on issues concerning quality, safety and productivity standards

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of (3) years of experience in extrusion blow molding in the plastics industry

Working Conditions:

• Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
• Some tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completed
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including but not limited to Bump Cap/Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection and Disposable Masks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift while performing job duties
• Physical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently.
• Abilities may include but are not limited to:
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools
• Bending at the waist
• Kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time
• Reaching above the head to store or retrieve materials
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information
• Seeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gauges
• Lifting and carrying heavy equipment or materials
• Working in cramped spaces
