Creative Speech Solutions, LLC (a pediatric therapy center) is hiring part-time temporary special ed teachers to support our Speech and Occupational Therapist during summer camp. Camp PAL will run from July 2nd until August 8th, three days weekly (EXCEPT FOR WEEK 1 TUES/WED ONLY). All other weeks are (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 1:30-4:30. Staff hours are from 12:30-5pm The location of the camp is just a few miles from our Summit, NJ office at Southern Blvd Elementary School in Chatham, NJ

Camp PAL is a summer camp for children with learning differences. Camp PAL is based on the philosophy that all children deserve a traditional summertime experience. Camp PAL offers the perfect mix of summertime camp fun and therapeutic intervention. At Camp PAL children participate in innovative, creative and fun therapeutic groups run by the highly-talented and knowledgeable team of therapists at Creative Speech Solutions, LLC. Groups are small and carefully constructed to both challenge and nurture the children, while promoting friendships, self confidence and a strong sense of community.

Candidates interested in this role at CSS are required to have the following:

• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Education and/or Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of two years of special ed teaching experience in a pediatric school setting.
• Experience providing therapeutic assistance for children (ages 3-8) with developmental delays or disorders in a group atmosphere.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
• Patience, persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
