Creative Management Company is Hiring a Porter/Maintenance Near Houston, TX

PORTER

As a porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and appearance of the building.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Sweep, mop, vacuum as needed.
2. Clean and sanitize common areas, including lobby, hallways, elevators, and stairwells.
3. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
4. Dust and polish surfaces, furniture, baseboards and fixtures.
5. Clean windows and mirrored surfaces.
6. Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and repairing damaged walls or fixtures.
7. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Groundskeeping:

1. Maintain exterior areas, including sidewalks, parking lot and courtyard
2. Water plants and maintain fountains as needed.

Building Access:

1. Assist with controlling access to the building, such as issuing keys or access cards to residents or tenants.
2. Report any suspicious activity or security breaches to management or security personnel.

Customer Service:

1. Greet residents, tenants, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Inventory and Supplies:

1. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and other consumable items as needed.
2. Keep an inventory of maintenance tools and equipment and report any shortages or damaged items.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work is advantageous.
3. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
4. Basic handyman skills for performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
