This position is for an interim director- maternity leave replacement to begin in July/August2024 and end January 2025.
Our Childcare Center, located in Roxbury NJ, is a privately owned, well established childcare center. We pride ourselves on creating not only a loving and nurturing environment for our children and families, but also a friendly, family-oriented environment for our staff.
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of managerial/supervisory experience
or
Master's Degree in Education with one year experience or Master's Degree in any other field with 9 college credits in early childhood education and one year of experience
Strong business mind and managerial spirit
Experience in a licensed child care facility supervisory position a must
Strong background in NJ licensing regulations, staffing, ratios and enrollment
Experience with OOL
Highly effective organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Experience with Creative Curriculum (preferred)
Experience with Tadpoles (preferred)
Experience with ProCare or similar platform (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft office
Experience with subsidized child care a plus
Responsibilities Include:
Overseeing the operations of the school
Opening and closing of center based on center needs.
Developing strong positive relationships with families, children and staff
Ensuring the implementation of school curriculums and lesson plans
Complete all required reports and necessary inspections
Staff hiring, orientations and terminations
Tours
Staff trainings
Advertising
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and background
