Creative Keyboardist is seeking a part-time piano teacher to teach adults. Most students are beginning and “returner” adults, with some intermediate adults.
This position involves in-person teaching at YOUR studio in the Denver metropolitan area. Your studio could be at your home or in a commercial space that you rent. Either way, you MUST have your own studio.
Some virtual/online teaching may also be involved.
You should have a professional instrument(s), preferably both an acoustic and digital piano. You should also have appropriate technology for teaching virtually.
You may set your own teaching schedule, but it should include at least one weekday evening and/or a few hours on weekends.
You’ll build your roster of students gradually, one student at a time.
The ideal teacher will have a bachelor's degree in music or equivalent professional experience, demonstrable teaching experience with positive reviews/testimonials/references, broad knowledge and skill playing and teaching both classical and popular keyboard music, and music theory proficiency.
This is an independent contractor position. We will agree on your teaching rate and related terms, and enter into a written independent contractor agreement.
Professional written communication skills including use of salutations, correct grammar, capitalization and punctuation are an important aspect of your application, messages you send, etc.
