Procurement Analyst- Dundalk, MD

About the Company and the Procurement Analyst Opportunity:

  • Our new client is a big name in local higher education. Due to a leave, they are looking to bring on a temporary Procurement Analyst
  • Schedule is M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm 100% in office
  • Start date: April 2, 2024

Jobs Duties of the Procurement Analyst:

  • Conduct Invitations for Bids and RFPs of moderate complexity from cradle to grave independently
  • Prepare and post solicitation documents
  • Assist with preparation of Board of Trustee exhibits
  • Establish suppliers and generate a source list for purchases
  • Contract management and retention
  • Generate correspondence for contracts, event agreements, and renewals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Procurement Analyst:

  • Bachelors Degree Procurement, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field highly preferred
  • 4 years experience in procurement, purchasing, buying required
    • Public Purchasing experience (NOT logistics or inventory)
    • CCPB cert or similar procurement training a plus
    • Higher education procurement experience beneficial
  • Advanced knowledge of Maryland Procurement law and regulations
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience using Banner a plus but not required
  • Must be able to pass a background check!
