Creative Financial Staffing is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Greenwich, CT

CFS has partnered with a rapidly expanding technology firm located in Greenwich CT, seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist immediately!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Import and carefully verify weekly work time records from the timekeeping system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transmission of payroll to the vendor on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain the integrity of the payroll database, updating records for rate changes, tax withholdings, and other variables.
  • Execute journal entries and reconcile accounts for garnishments and child support orders.
  • Accurately update payroll profiles, including changes in union dues, fee deductions, and other relevant adjustments.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related data.
  • Act as a resource for employees and managers, addressing inquiries and requests regarding payroll information.

What we are looking for :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in processing payroll; experience with a major payroll vendor preferred.
  • 2 years of direct involvement in managing the payroll process for employees.
  • Familiarity with automated time and attendance systems is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with employees and management.
